Catherine Pearce

Biography

Catherine is a Director within Aon’s Public Sector Pensions Team specialising in benefits and governance consulting. She has over 22 years' public sector pension scheme experience, having joined the Aon team in 2016 from her previous role as Deputy Manager of Pensions Administration for Peninsula Pensions, a combined administration service for the Devon and Somerset Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds as well as administration for Avon & Somerset Police and Devon & Somerset Fire Authorities. In her Aon role Catherine is involved in all aspects of benefits and governance consulting, with responsibilities including developing fund guidance and policies, carrying out governance reviews, supporting with third party administration tenders, running annual benefit statement exercises and calculations relating to pensions taxation for higher earners. Recent work has included assisting funds understand their responsibilities for implementing the McCloud age discrimination remedy, providing guidance on implementing the LGPS Good Governance project recommendations, and she is Aon's technical lead in developing responses to Government consultations in relation to LGPS benefits matters. Catherine holds the CIPP Foundation Degree in Pension Administration and Management and is a regular attendee and speaker at national events and conferences.
