Becky Durran

Biography

Becky Durran is a Senior Consultant and Fund Actuary at Aon and has 25 years of public sector pensions experience. Becky leads on the technical development of Aon’s LGPS actuarial services and is currently the Fund Actuary for Powys County Council and Durham County Council and support actuary to NILGOSC. Becky has been Aon’s representative at meetings with MHCLG and DfE and works closely with the Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) and has been involved in meetings with them regarding section 13 and development of the “dashboard” inserted into valuation reports. Within Aon, Becky has worked with Aon’s longevity team to bring our Demographic HorizonsTM longevity modelling to LGPS funds, and with Aon’s responsible investment team to develop a proposal for climate change scenario analysis. Becky has a first-class degree in Mathematics from Oxford University and qualified as an actuary in 2006.
