On 25 July 2025, an email invitation was sent to Pension Committee and Board Chairs to attend the Board’s inaugural Annual Assembly. The Annual Assembly event will be a unique networking opportunity amongst peers to engage directly with the  Board on the issues and challenges being faced by funds. Attendees will hear from the Chair Cllr Roger Phillips and the Board Secretary on the Board’s work on behalf of the Scheme. The Local Government Minister, Jim McMahon, has attended all the previous on-line events and has been invited again to this event.

The event will take place in-person only on 22 October 2025, from 11am to 4pm, at the LGA offices in Smith Square, Westminster. The event is free. If you are a Pension Committee or Board member you can book a place here.
